We&#039;ve both made peace (or are just about there) with the fact that we&#039;re not quite living the life we&#039;d pictured for ourselves, and yet, it&#039;s a fine life. Yes, some things would be changed if some things could be changed, but the reality is that they can&#039;t be. And that&#039;s mostly OK.  //  Will look forward to reading more entries.]]></description>

That is really, really good stuff. And a great example. Outgoing Fed Chair Ben Bernanke gave a speech on the wrongness of a meritocracy to Princeton earlier this year. I think you&#039;ll find it worth reading:
